About Linda
Personal Life
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1942, the author’s journey took her to New Orleans in 1958, where she completed high school before embarking on her educational path at Louisiana State University, focusing on Elementary Education. Amidst her love for teaching, she discovered a deep passion for writing, often finding solace and inspiration in her words.
Her life’s greatest joy lies in moments spent with family, a sentiment that has been a constant throughout her remarkable journey. Married to Joe for 62 years, their union has been blessed with the laughter and love of four married daughters, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great- grandchildren, each adding layers of happiness to her world.
In 2015, a turning point emerged when she faced a diagnosis of cancer. This pivotal moment reshaped her aspirations, igniting a fervent determination to fulfill a lifelong dream—to pen her memoir as an adopted child, “Chosen to be Loved.” Buoyed by this accomplishment, she shared more of her heart through the pages of “Loving Whispers,” a touching Christian romance, and “Teaspoon of Hardship, Tablespoon of Love,” offering profound encouragement for life’s challenges.
Her latest creation, “Cotton Field Sunset,” is a poignant narrative inspired by a Texas family’s resilience following a life-altering tragedy. Rooted in personal experiences and heartfelt reflections, her writings resonate with authenticity, empathy, and a deep understanding of the human spirit’s resilience.
